The procedure

Crown lengthening is an outpatient procedure wherein the time taken for treatment depends on the number of teeth you have and removing both soft tissues and bones. You will be given local anesthesia so that you will not feel any discomfort during the procedure.
The procedure can rectify broken, cracked, or misshapen teeth. It also helps in completing complex dental procedures like root canals and dental implants. If you do not have enough teeth structure for bridges or crowns, your dentist will first suggest going through this treatment. Once the anesthesia wears off, you might face some pain and discomfort, which will eventually go away.

Take proper care of your oral conditions to recover from crown lengthening surgery.
